Welcome To Our Web Site

In 2005 Pipe Major Angus MacColl, in conjunction with the Netherlorn Piping Society, had an idea to set up a youth pipe band, the main aim of which would be to promote the piping and drumming traditions of North Argyll and to serve the people of Oban and Lorn. And so the Oban High School Pipe Band was formed.

Over the last few years the Band has grown and developed into a fully registered competing Band under the auspices of the RSPBA.

2010 has seen the Band reach the pinnacle in Novice Juvenile Grade winning the World Championships, Cowal Championships and being crowned "Champions of Champions" 2010.

The administrative needs, support and promotion of the Band are carried out by Oban & Lorn Youth Pipe Band Association, a committee dedicated to the success of OHS Pipe Band.

Our sincere appreciation to the communities of Oban and Lorn for the wonderful support both financially and practically which has contributed to the Band's success.
